Its simple and they're too lazy or they're scared to do something different. Or they talent is limited. There's some extremely complicated structures and a lot of fancy music terms used in a small percentage of bands that I've come across. Some had their own scene, others get lumped into playing shows with the overwhelming amount of cookie cutter bands.
