I think they counter that with the "burst of speed" power, though it doesn't do a whole lot at lower levels. Not sure if you knew this, but on the Telos mission when you first start, there are terminals that you can "teleport" through to make that part of the game go a lot quicker. When I figured that out, I was so excited. However, I do agree from thinking back on it that there is a huge amount of running around from A to B and then back again, but I love them anyway, as you do.
