If you enjoyed the first one, you'd have a blast with the second one. The second one offers a lot more control over how your party reacts to you and it adds the influence factor so you can either make them hate you or make them follow you to whichever side you choose for that character. I did the research as well and they say that every character you have (besides the droids im assuming) can be turned into a jedi, so there's that factor to try to work with as well. It's a lot of fun.

No straight corridors, quests forcing you to run from one side of the map to the other constantly etc.
I tried playing it again a couple months ago but I couldn't get the game to work
Edit: don't get me wrong though, I loved both kotors despite their flaws.

I think they counter that with the "burst of speed" power, though it doesn't do a whole lot at lower levels. Not sure if you knew this, but on the Telos mission when you first start, there are terminals that you can "teleport" through to make that part of the game go a lot quicker. When I figured that out, I was so excited. However, I do agree from thinking back on it that there is a huge amount of running around from A to B and then back again, but I love them anyway, as you do.
