47. Queensrÿche - The Warning (1984)
Personal favorite, but there's plenty of objective reasons for it to be on this list. Its one of the best heavy metal debuts of all time, plus it is a key recording to the start of the whole progressive metal genre. People generally think
Operation: Mindcrime or
Empire when it comes to this band, but
Geoff Tate was at the top of his vocal form here, and the rest of the band ain't too shabby either. 'Take Hold Of The Flame', 'En Force', 'No Sanctuary' and the 9-minute 'Roads To Madness' are key numbers, but every song here is really strong.
