John Coltrane - Interstellar Space
Some of Coltrane's final recordings are found within this flock of (inter)stellar duos with drummer Rashied Ali. Just fantastic all around really. Makes me rank Coltrane's death as one of the more tragic ones since he could have changed free jazz as we know it today (and even made it more popular given his status) were he still alive and carrying on the free jazz bent.
