call me weird...but the only Pixies album i really enjoy anymore is Doolittle....whereas i still listen to most of the Violent Femmes stuff....although in all honesty not often

i also think i just have much better memories associated with Violent Femmes....the first time i smoke weed was at a Violent Femmes/B-52s show

.....if you put their self titled album on right now i could probably sing every word to every song without any thought

just taste and timing i guess
