As said above depending on what you're looking for it doesn't have to. If something like Illmatic or Me Against the World was ghost written I would be disappointed and I think the albums would lose a bit of charm. Imagine if something like Dear Mama was ghost written

It can still sound good; I enjoy both of Dre's albums, even enjoy foreign music in languages I don't understand based purely on what it sounds like, but it takes a lot away from him as a 'rapper' if he's not writing his own bars. There really is nothing special about rapping somebody else's bars. Most of us on here could do it.
