At most I think the most advance weapons we have as a species can destroy just the surface of an entire city or two upon impact. Something ten times bigger than Earth would probably just be the end of us. Even if we managed to escape to Mars or something, I'd imagine the debris would just spray out like shrapnel and destroy everything within trillions of trillions of trillions of miles or whatever. Yeah, we'd be doomed.

Now, if we're talking about the end of the planet I'd wager on something exactly like that happen. They say our sun is slowly imploding... or exploding... or doing something dooming to our solar system in a hella long ass time. So, if nothing else before then happens to Earth there's that to look forward to. But, I'd imagine a giant asteroid or something would happen before that.

End of human beings or life as we know it on Earth? Hard to say. It seems like every generation has it's apocalyptic fright- WW3, global warming, AIDS... We've proven ourselves to be a pretty resilient species despite our petty struggles amongst ourselves. We lasted through the Ice Age and could probably do it again, perhaps with more ease next time around. I feel like maybe a giant, continent-splitting earthquake is plausible. Who knows.
