The statement about the Chinese being a sub species is his reaction as a vegetarian against the way animals are treated in China. I don't think he truly believes that all Chinese are sub species, just the ones who take pleasure in the torture of animals.

I think Morrissey is a genuinely good person. On meat is Murder he sings "death for no reason" as statement against animal cruelty and consumerism at the same time. A bad person would not even be capable of coming up with such blunt lyrics.

On his alleged racism, I don't think Morrissey really is, I just think he is more comfortable with in his own culture, that in its self is not a crime. He is just expressing concerns that he does not want to see his culture swallowed up by someone else's.
