Aterciopelados means "
the velvety ones" (
terciopelo means
velvet). The band was mentioned in this thread about three years ago.
Bolero falaz ("
Deceitful Bolero") is one of their best-known songs. It's a kind of satire about
boleros (you can see a lyrics' translation
here). Bolero songs were very popular in the whole Spanish-speaking world from the 40's to the 60's. They had a romantic and idealistic tone.
