It is frustrating though because I don't actually think we're miles off being a good team at all. Get Jores back (any day now
), sign Bertrand permanently, buy an attacking CM or two of proven quality, promote Grealish to the first team & give Robinson some minutes, and hope we can get one more year out of Benteke and things will start to look up.
Our finances are nice (well, much better anyway) now as well so this summer will hopefully be much better.
Something positive: We will nick a point against Chelsea I feel. And Bacuna has been a steal btw. 5 goals from full back, set piece specialist, two footed, high energy... dealt with Redmond nicely yesterday. Don't want to get excited though, still his first season.
