That's the trouble with passwords, and that's why I make sure to have backups of everything I write on my PC's hard drive. Although the drives can of course crash it just feels safer, and natch I can make copies onto flash drives, CDs, DVDs or store them on my own website, just to be sure nothing goes missing and can never be retrieved.

Surely Microscum will allow you to retrieve your password once you send them some basic info like your social security number, paycheque and the global rights to your firstborn child?

I still prefer digital over physical. It feels so dated. This was just some odd thing that happened when I got my new laptop and windows 8 wanted me to register my Microsoft account. I had some old information on it like an old number that they couldn't send me a text to so I could verify that the account was mines. So they decided to lock it for a month through changing my password or some such non sense but on February 7th I'll have my account back and all my information will be just perfectly fine. It doesn't just disappear into the nethers because it is digital.
