So this guy wrote a book.
Well if I MUST hear them before I die then I guess I should.
So here's what I'm going to do. Fortunately there is a torrent of all 1001 songs featured in this book ranging from 1916 - 2011. So I've downloaded that and then I'm going to stick the whole thing into a playlist and randomise it (The thought of listening to it in chronological order bores me).
Then between watching & writing about Doctor Who I'll listen to maybe an hour of songs every day and see what I think of them.
I figure I should give this guy's list a chance seeing he did feel fit to include a song by The Fall on this list.

While doing this I'll be offering alternate choices if I think they're needed. They could be a different song by the same band or a totally different band altogether, so hopefully at the end of this I'll have 1001 choices of my own.
