There was a pay channel in my area, back in the 80's, (channel 25 or 27, I think) where you could see scrambled hard-core porn, late at night. They would unscramble the signal every few minutes for a few seconds, or sometimes, a minute or two to get you to see enough to want to pay for a subscription.
