If you use it more than twice weekly, it's in your best interest to get a fare card or at least tickets or tokens. Way, way cheaper that way.

There's really not all that much to complain about, though. The maintenance is quite regular and they are replacing the old trains with newer, streamlined ones. And they're thinking about adding more to the underground system.
