I see Facebook more as a nice way to keep in touch with old friends who have moved far away. Without picking up the phone and spending on long distance phone calls, it is a convenient way to keep in touch. Nothing more. Otherwise, I agree that it is a collossal waste of time. But so are so many things, including posting in forums! :p
