Why not?, none of them are really progressive rock musicians persay, but if they tried something of that style, they could make it work. They have the technical ability, and they certainly have the song crafting ability...The Who are not prog, but they did influence prog in some respects, making the rock opera (a prog trademark) popular, and i personly consider Tommy and Quadrophena very progressive albums, even though the who were more along the lines of pure ass kicking rock n roll than they were prog...Zeppelin clearly had progressive elements, battle of evermore was very prog for its time, and HOTH didnt have one song in 4/4 time i believe, it was in most respects, a prog album...And Hendrix even admited to having a interest in progressive rock music, he suposedly additioned for a band featuring Kieth Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer and they had a rehersal recording set for at least 2 weeks after hendrix died, had he lived, they would have carried on with their project, and had it worked, the name of the band would have been Hendrix, Emerson, Lake and Palmer or HELP, that would have been awesome. =)
