Living in the moment is arguably the best way to remain content. It's not always an easy thing to do, especially as, on it's deepest level, it means not even judging whether things are good or bad, but you can still benefit without taking it to that supposedly enlightened level.
But, yeah, just live in the moment. Forget the past, don't worry about the future, do that and everything seems more beautiful.
