The thing that makes all religions lies is that each took this mythological Celestial Hero and made him into a personage they claimed was historically real and this happened over and over again--Wittoba, Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, etc.
In Revelation 12:1-6, we get the story of the virgin birth retold in a totally different way from the gospels:
1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Now, this is clearly not taking place on earth but in the heavens. Essentially, we are looking at a celestial map or star chart and the writer is narrating the story depicted on it. The woman is Virgo. The crown of 12 stars is the zodiac--the Virgin Queen of Heaven, Mary. The sun is passing through her constellation so she is said to be pregnant.
As she is delivering her child, i.e. as the sun is exiting Virgo, the dragon of darkness crouches at her feet waiting. this is Scorpio. Where is Libra? This is a very old star chart made before Libra existed. Back then, the scales were the claws of the scorpion. The sun is passing through autumn and entering the dark months. His tail draws down a third part of the stars because those are the stars that fall below the horizon in winter.
This is an important clue because the tail of the dragon is known in astrology as
cauda draconis. Earlier, the passage above stated that the woman stood with the moon under her feet. So she stood at the North Lunar Node which is called
caput draconis or "head of the dragon" when the moon crosses north of the ecliptic. But the dragon of darkness crouches at the South Lunar Node or cauda draconis, which, in astrology, is a bad portent, when the moon crosses south of the ecliptic. The South Lunar Node is located today at 0 degrees Libra but would have been in Scorpio back then since there was no Libra. The North Lunar Node occurs at 0 degrees Aries. So the virgin is impregnated in spring and gives birth in the fall to resume her virgin state.
The woman gives birth knowing the dragon wants to devour the child but the child is protected and the woman flees into the wilderness. This is the gospel story of Mary fleeing to Egypt with the baby Jesus to escape the deadly wrath of Herod whose soldiers are massacring all infants under two years of age (never actually happened, btw). She lives in the wilderness for 1,260 days. That's about 3 1/2 years or half a cycle of seven. Converted into months, we go from September, October, November, half of December. Now she must retrieve her child. On the other half of the cycle, we go from the other half of December and all of January, February and March where spring and the New Year begin at 0 degrees Aries. At that point, the protected son/sun is now waxing strong and light vanquishes the dark and the earth reborn into a virgin state ready to be impregnated with life.
