That's why they have been administering the Gardasil vaccination to young girls and boys before they become sexually active and can contract the disease, to ultimately help prevent ovarian cancer which is linked to HPV
The vaccine came out when I was in university, I remember it was pretty groundbreaking. I had only been sexually active for a little while before I received the vaccination so I wonder if I ever contracted HPV or if I am completely "clean!"
