This thread is a bit slow so I've got a question to liven things up. Maybe.

Been really getting into Animal Collective lately (yeah I'm an old(er) fart, so I realize I'm behind the curve here). Also like Tame Impala (though to date they're a bit one-dimensional). I also like Atlas Sound to a lesser extent, though I'm not crazy about his work with Deerhunter.

Of all the recent bands I've listened to, AnCo is leagues above the others. I like the way they do a HUGE variety of music and sounds. Are there any other similar band out there? I like weird, but not too weird. It has to be very melodic (even the noisier tunes). I don't like just loud and noisy, but I also get bored with just mellow stuff.

Any suggestions? Preferably post-2000, though maybe there are some 90's bands I haven't heard.
