Also, since I'm still in the learning stages. Faster takeoffs are bad for me when I take the road test so I don't mind getting a slow take off.

When I did my first road test I used an automatic, because I was still so shaky with the clutch pedal while taking off at lights. If you don't let go at just the right time and in the right gear, the car will either jump start or stall out. Takes a bit of practise but I got the hang of after awhile. Where you really have to pay attention to this is when you're waiting at train tracks, and then taking off when the train is gone. Especially if you're first. You don't want the car to stall out on the tracks. If it does, just get out and say bye to your car if a train comes before the tow truck
