Sums it up perfectly. And so what if a band chooses to join a major label. At the root of that is the fact that it means more people will get the opportunity to actually hear them, and surely for any band being heard is the biggest thrill. I used to work for HMV over here in England, and do you think we EVER stocked albums by the likes of Modest Mouse? Of course not. And as a result nobody over here had heard of them or cared about them. Now they have heard of them, and a lot of people are starting to care about them. If that means the small-minded among you are going to choose to hate them, then meh, I really pity the way you allow your own blinkered views to get in the way of enjoying a band.
