The band should blow off the gig and instead take massive doses of blotter acid and spend the night wandering around the sand dunes in Death Valley National Park. There's an old Native American shaman living among the dunes who will provide you with fame and fortune beyond your wildest dreams.
Seriously, good luck with your debut gig and don't forget to bring plenty of ice cold beverages and an extra set of guitar strings along.
