I still don't think it was the right response from the teacher, unless you had a history of being caught smoking pot or getting into trouble. yeah... i didn't get in trouble at school or sell drugs and that was the only time i got caught with pot. most people (if not precisely ALL people) that i've ever talked to about it thought it was pretty absurd. the courts need to pick their battles. the only thing the whole thing did to reform me was teach how to better not get caught... by personally escorting me into the company of criminals. not the best outcome, really. and a waste of resources.
