It's all well and good to talk about it's importance, but good is good and bad is bad. Not that it's a bad album, just not great. "Number of the Beast" was the first Maiden song I ever heard and I still love it. And the intro still gives me chills.

Considering it launched Maiden (and metal to a degree) onto the world stage I think it's an album any aspiring fan has to hear. And I won't hear a word said against it. It's perfect, so there.
