I'm not sure if you're making this 9 million up but the Woodstock comparison with Metallica is not a good one really. The selected few would only really apply to the first two albums and even then Metallica were hardly an unknown band.

If anything you need to go back to the first two albums, as
Master of Puppets put them on the map and when that came out they were one of the bigger metal acts.
