I have this film haha. I grew up with it...I loved it when I was little. I'm pretty sure the only way to enjoy it is with the nostalgia going strong.
Go watch the scene where the robot crushes a ton of people and you are witnessing the aftermath. Then go listen to the NIN song "The Becoming". Apparently Trent Reznor is a fan, too.
