I personally wouldn't resort to violence under any circumstance, but I do understand that words are at times not enough. Sometimes people need to be shown that what they're doing isn't right. However, that should be put into the hands of the parents of the bully, not the person being bullied.
Still, relating to the story I posted, I really hope the parents of the suspended kid do something to deal with this, because to me, it's just the school trying to make sure they make themselves look good.
