I love these ladies. This song played on a satellite radio station in the first days of 2005 while I pulled an all-nighter at work. I was busting my ass when this song, maybe the only song I listened to all that long hard night, poked its way into my head. I was so impressed I bought their CD off the internet on the strength of that one listen to this song

Their second album, "Moon Over The Freeway" was even better. They toured this album in the summer of '06, starting in LA, up to Northern Cali, then all point east all the way to Boston....On Bicycles. From Boston they flew west to Seattle, then bicycled the almost 200 miles to Portland to play the show I taped (with permission) at the Aladdin Theater. I had seen them twice before this show and enjoyed them immensely, but NONE of that prepared me for the amazing show I saw that September '06 night. I uploaded these songs from their 2nd album




I had taped their previous show in Seattle, and had DVD's prepared for them. After this epic show I went up to Amanda who was chatting with someone as the road crew was taking down the stage to give her their copies of the DVD. That is when I found out that these girls were SICK, battered, bruised, HURTING, they just put on this amazing, amazing show and could barely stand after it. These women are f*cking heroes to me.

That last track is more representational of what they're doing now. They don't use a band behind 'em anymore, just Amanda and Abby (Amanda is the taller lady that bears a slight resemblance to Geena Davis). I loved them with that crack band but I also love them alone.
