thanks for the reply! Although resources such as youtube and soundcloud are excellent ways to get out there, there's just so many people doing the same thing. It's a hard time for musicians to get heard these days. A lot of it may be down to, as you say, gigging, but also through that meeting new people relevant to what you're looking for I suppose. I'm thinking taking time to work full time, saving money and using it to fuel my musical endeavours. I'm not easily exasperated by unsuccessful efforts and believe I have the motivation to chip away until I can finally find a good opportunity and way through the impenetrable wall we call the music business! I'll do it one day
