This was shown recently on TV, and I'm waiting for the right moment to watch it.
Superb, senstiive, bittersweet science-fiction movie that was eco-friendly before it became fashionable. Bruce Dern is fantastic in the main role, almost pathologically dedicated to his mission, while the three robots steal the show. Plus a gorgeous soundtrack from Joan Baez, with one of the most heartbreaking but real endings of any movie, sci-fi or otherwise, you're likely to see. If you don't cry at the end, submit yourself for a 10000 mile check, cos you're not human!
