Cool

Used to listen to Dubstep a lot when I was younger, nice thread. Mainly stuff like Benga, Skream, Mala... it was mostly the more tribal, mellowed out stuff. I've never really liked the new, bassy stuff, apart from some exceptions.

Anyway, I like them (and a lot of other so-called sh*t), so if anyone knows anything similar, I'd love to get in on it.
What do you mean by 'not really Dubstep'?

From what I've heard from them, which is admittedly not much as I don't follow Dubstep anymore, they are like the Backstreet Boys of Dubstep. I've heard the collabs with P-Money but didn't like them. I can recommend a bunch of stuff similar to those vocals if you liked them but if you want instrumentals in the same vein then I don't know of much, sorry.

If anyone is bothered (probably not ) and you're a fan of Dubstep, it might be worth delving into instrumental Grime as well because both Dubstep and Grime developed from Garage at the same time, in the same place and overlap each other and in the early days (pre-2006) were very, very similar. I have very good knowledge of instrumental Grime from 2002ish up until last year. I will post the stuff that I think people would like based on what has been posted in the thread as the older stuff might be a bit too 'pots and pans' if you get me. I see Vanilla has already posted some Plastician . Are you guys familiar with Terror Danjah? I think Dubstep fans would definitely like Rude Kid's stuff if you haven't heard of him already:

Rude Kid - Screwdriver INSTANT DROP - YouTube

Rude Kid - Spring (Instrumental) - YouTube

Rude Kid - Rain Drops - YouTube

The legend that is Maniac, he is in prison now but while he was around he was (and still is) widely regarded as the best Grime producer, his style is very unique:

Maniac - Captain Instrumental - YouTube

Maniac - Gunslap (New Age Grime)(*NEW*) - YouTube

Maniac - Devil vs Saltfish (High Quality) - YouTube

Maniac - Liquid Organ [Radio Clip] - YouTube

Has Sukh Knight been posted yet? I don't follow Dubstep anymore but always have time for Sukh Knight, his beats are seriously good:

Sukh Knight - Hands In Your Pockets Feat Jahcoozi - YouTube

Sukh Knight - Beneath Your Blouse - YouTube

One of the best current Grime producers (has done what I would call modern 'wobbly' Dubstep too but I prefer his fresher, skippier Garage influenced style), Preditah:

Preditah - Red Bull - YouTube

Preditah - Street Fighter [Instrumental] (Unreleased) - YouTube

I will stop spamming the thread now
