Covers of the Amazing Kind
Oh there are so many great covers out there, but my favorite of all favs are Shinedown's covers; Simple Man is amazing when they do it, acoustic, pure, and the raw vocals, ERMAGERD. They also covered U2's One, they stripped it down and just deliver the simple tune and lovely words. OH THE EMOTION :').
I also quite adore Atom Smash's cover of Seal's Kiss from a rose. Who knew that song could be preformed as a rock love song?
In this moment covered Call Me, by Blondie. They didn't change anything really, but it's still a good song.
All of Seether's covers knock me off my feet, they completely take song and make them unique and original. They took Wham!'s Careless Whisper, a bit of a whiny pop boy song, and made it a powerful rock ballad (I use the word 'ballad' loosely).
To top it off, they covered Frank Sinatra's I've got you under my skin....and made it creepy but so real and relevant.
Finally I'm getting to an acoustic cover, Hana Pestle's version of Creep org. Radiohead. To hear a woman sing those lyrics brings the song an entirely different feel, in my opinion.
Hope someone listens to these songs!
