Have the band stated this? If so then fine, thats the era he's singing about and you are correct. Personally I wasn't aware it had ever been confirmed. Theres just a reference to Sinatra, which doesn't really confirm anything.

For the record, I couldn't care less if you dislike the song. Especially given the way I feel when it comes to Christmas music. I just find your judgement of those who do interesting, as you seemingly are offering explanations as to exactly why they would do such a thing.

I dunno, I just fail to see why it cant be as simple as you either like it or you dont and thats the end of it.
