Went to the record store today and left spending a lot more than I intended. I bought the 'Endless Summer' compilation by the Beach Boys and 12-track Greatest Hits album for the Hollies, but I also got a monster Jerry Lee Lewis box.
It's a twelve LP set but it's beautiful. I had only heard his singles before buy I bought this set on a whim (it got taken out from behind the counter while I was there and this store has never wronged me pricewise) and so far it has been a good purchase. It basically groups all of his core Sun recordings and surrounds them with outtakes, but it has really nice song-by-song liner notes on each sleeve. Really paints a picture of the man. That said, I've only listened to the first two LPs so far but it seems like a really nice set to me.
