It seems to me that it would just have been easier to keep the name the same instead of having to print something else entirely. I mean, there doesn't seem to be too much of a cultural significance to the name or anything.
It could work either way.
But at this point, I'd probably feel like if our Frosted Flakes became "Frosties", they were some sort of Chinese bootleg cereal.
