If they only sell it by the half or three-quarter glass, then it must be fairly strong. It must be pushing the 7% mark.

Age generally doesn't hurt beer, it usually helps. Tastes great, less filling.
Well, I haven't had it in the US. I have had it abroad though and in most places it was foul. Obviously there are a lot of factors, how the owner has stored it, poured it etc, but personally I find it to be much, much nicer in Ireland.
