manufactured?....what by god? they were brother and sisters save Ulf Ekberg....and Jonas Berggren who was a member....wrote many of their songs...including The Sign and Another Baby
and the reason why Ace of Base was the next ABBA was because it was two men and two women from Sweden performing great pop music
i personally do not think a pop band or musician can be either overrated or underrated....they are pop if they chose to change to what listeners want then they do and if they chose to keep some form of integrity they tend to die out
personally i think Roxette, Ace of Base and ABBA are all great bands....for what they are
as a side note....someone back there mention Coil as Underrated....again there seems to me at least to be confusion between the concept of popular and underrated.....Coil in the "industrial" music scene is regarded as GOD....or at least one of them....and deserve that label.....i don't think they are overrated or underrated....but rather just where they should be....pioneers and pure and original genius
