You presumably have already listened to the likes of Christy Moore, Damien Rice, Planxty, all that lot? How about Rory? He did some great acoustic stuff, particularly on "Deuce", if I remember. Or Springsteen's "Nebraska" would be another one. Newton Faulkner's not bad either.
