They'll point out that the catchy, simple lyrics and instrumentation in their songs formed the roots of modern pop and that people related to it more than any other band.
The Stones fanatics won't really pursue that line of reasoning - they are far more likely to argue that the lyrics are deeper and deal with real world problems. As a result, I find it hard not to imagine the Stones obsessives being altogether more worldly and more rough than the Beatles bores.

The Stones bores are different but the outcome is just the same. Sure they don't go on about innovation and being influential like Beatles fans do, they just tend to see themselves as understanding what rock n roll is all about and the Rolling Stones typify that belief. Any argument against them, they just laugh off, they kind of see the Stones as untouchables. It all get very boring really, especially since they usually have a lack of knowledge of other bands from that era.
