People here don`t hate Pearl Jam , they just don`t care about them. They were never that big a deal here. A couple of the songs off 10 did OK , but thats about it.Don`t be fooled into thinking all we cared about at the time were Blur & Oasis , there were some great British bands around in the mid 90s.
You have to understand in the mid 90s Britain wanted to party after being so bloody miserable for over a decade, and bands like Pearl Jam and the whole grunge hangover from the US just didn`t fit the bill.
Don`t take it personally , it took the US over a decade to get The Smiths & The Cure , maybe in a decade people will be saying 'wow Pearl Jam are an awesome band , Yeald is the best album ever made , how DID we miss this'
