Eddie Vedder - Ukulele Songs (2011)
I absolutely adored the Into The Wild OST and have been listening to this a hell of a lot lately too. I always
liked Eddie Vedders voice. A great voice can often be technically imperfect and his voice is a prime example of this as far as I'm concerned. I liked it but I didnt know if he could pull off folk, he did. I still wasnt sure if he could pull off an album consisting of mostly just his voice and a ukulele, he can. There is nothing here to mask any imperfections, nowhere to hide, it is mostly stripped down completely and personally I think its a beautiful record.
EDIT: I also listened to that Shatner record yesterday and likewise, I was rather impressed. I felt it was so pretentious at first but only until I listened to a few more tracks and "got it".
