Really? 80s and early 90s stuff was my introduction to metal and it has a special place in my heart, but I actually think there's far better quality metal being released today.


I'm happy I can't relate. To me it seems like there's always a show on the horizon that I'd like to go to, both by current bands and bands I liked back in the 80s and 90s. Heck, Corrosion of Conformity is playing walking distance from my house this coming Monday.
Hmmm, apologies - I thought you were referring to music as a whole.

Yeah, I much preferred the buzz of the late 80's and early 90's. I can't seem to relate to modern day metal like I could then. Mind you, I was younger then (a bit) and was really into the metal scene. As I've mentioned in a previous post, I haven't exactly had my finger on the pulse for the past few years.
