Really? 80s and early 90s stuff was my introduction to metal and it has a special place in my heart, but I actually think there's far better quality metal being released today.

I'm happy I can't relate.
To me it seems like there's always a show on the horizon that I'd like to go to, both by current bands and bands I liked back in the 80s and 90s. Heck, Corrosion of Conformity is playing walking distance from my house this coming Monday.
