swedish death is quite unique, 'wolverine blues' moves away from that typical fast-paced music towards more groovy slower-paced and with catchy choruses. It is not a step back, it is step towards a new horizon, and they managed to reinvent themsleves with briliancy IMHO. It can and should not be compard to the first two Entombed albums.
