Okay, well just off the top of my head:

The sax break that ends "Will you" by Hazel O'Connor, though more specifically, the "false ending" followed by a one-second pause, drumbeat (nine I think) and into the sax. Superb.

The bass solo that forms the midsection/spoken word part of Maiden's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", complete with creaking deck planks sounds.

The piano solo that ends The The's "Uncertain smile" from the album "Soul mining"

The piano run that leads into the instrumental ending of "The trip to Bountiful" by the Adventures, from "The sea of love"

The whole instrumental lead-in to "Where the streets have no name"

The point where the drums really kick in on "In the air tonight" : you know the bit!

The bit in Icehouse's "Sunrise" where the vocal stops for a moment, the piano hits in and then he kind of moans/shouts the next bit

The guitar solo at the end of Glass Tiger's "This island Earth".

You probably won't know most of them: I can Youtube ya if you want.
