John Densmore is one the best minimalist drummers ever. It's not that his style is limited or stripped down, but I can't think of a time when it ever seemed like he was doing too much or just showing off. I've always known how great Ray Manzarek (one of my personal favourites) and Robby Krieger are, but I never thought of John Densmore as you've put him in this post. Come to think of it, he really is a fantastic drummer that melts into the music perfectly in every song. Yet another thing that I've come to appreciate about The Doors
