I gotta go with PE, simply because they represented an intelligent yet millitant side to Hip Hop largely ignored by the mainstream until they came out. But on the real regardless of whether u feel N.W.A were a novelty(or not) whatever the case may be, u can't deny the were unique and raw, and basically the blueprint for the grimey **** that sells.
