Halloween (1978)
While I'll be first to admit that in regards to horror I prefer atmosphere building and suspense, I do enjoy a lot of the slasher films of the late '70's and '80's... just not the franchises that proceeded.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
It has honestly been at least a decade since I first saw this sometime in my adolescence. Thankfully I saw the original before seeing that Michael Bay/ Platinum Dunes atrocity.
Darkman (1990)
I've always wanted to see this movie as it's one of those rare genre films that manages to line up a well known actor who is more well known for doing serious roles (or at lest in Neeson's case
would be well known for serious roles).
If anyone is wondering why I buy so many movies, there's a used bookstore in town that has far more movies than books and has a good deal of buy 3 for $10 so I stop by usually once a week and see what they have.
